I have decided to write an amateur story based on the events as I forsee after Brink, just 5 months after the Resistance leaves to find the last traces of Humanity. A former Irish Soldier, Cameron MacLeod, abandons his post as a Soldier to save over 100 people across the world. As they drift along the sea, they quickly find the Ark. isnt a peaceful as the rumors that he heard originally.

Fast forward 20 years-his son is dead. Killed in the battle between the Security and the Resistance. Cameron reluctantly but passionatly takes back his arms in retribution. This is near the end of Brink, when the Resistance has left and the civil war has ended. Chen is dead, killed by depression and drug use from not hearing from Naychiev and …

Hey guys, I love playing BRINK on the defensive side, and I was just wondering what your favourite tactics are. I've got quite a few of my own, but I reckon most of you would know them anyway.

Feel free to post any tactics you think are worth hearing about, and I'll put the ones I like the best up on the page for everyone to see!

This blog is long. If you don't want to read it, that's fine. Just please don't be an idiot about it.

    Now then,

Though the mission structure isn’t a problem in my mind, I reckon it could have been better (in fact, most complaints I have about this game are things that aren’t bad, but could be better). One thing that could be improved on is the attacker/defender system. Rather than just give one team the main objectives, and have the other team just try to stop them, I reckon it would be overall more interesting if the teams switched roles at different parts of the given mission.

Another problem that could be addressed this way is the meat grinder. Ever been in the situation, in Brink, Call of Duty or otherwise where the entire game is focusse…

Yesterday, infamous hacker group called LulzSec announced that it would attempt to hack into Bethesda Softworks servers.

Big lulz coming up in the near future. Time to show these bitches how it's done. #Brink #Bethesda #ZeniMax

Matt Grandstaff of Bethesda has stated on Bethesda Blog that the attack was indeed successful and that the user account information was compromised.

Over the past weekend, a hacker group attempted an unlawful intrusion of our websites to gain access to data. We believe we have taken appropriate action to protect our data against these attacks. While no personal financial information or credit card data was obtained, the hackers may have gained access to some user names, email addresses, and/or passw…

I am an engineer. In any game I am effective at repairing and building things (if the option is available), as well as defending key locations, which is what the engineer class in Brink does best. I use the medium body type and use assault rifles and SMGs, or any other automatic I can get my hands on. I am good as a sniper, but there aren't many opportunities to use one, considering I;m better as just running out there and pumping lead into everything I see, but anyways. I take advantage of the SMART system a lot, as all Brink players should. I love to just run around randomly, jumping onto everything and usually getting a sneak attack on some enemies, which is always satisfying. I always look after my allies, and I gove them weapon buffs …

So, Brink is awesome, but, everyone probably thinks it's missing something. Here's where you can post it.

Personally, I think the game needs a Light-classed shotgun that is like a sawed-off double barrel or even breach-loaded single barrel, with high spread, and maybe 6-12 spare shells max. That, and I think the Maximus should be more of a Medium weapon than Heavy, but for balancing reasons it is good where it is.

    My review

May 12, 2011 by Matt of the wastes

This could very well be the funnest shooter I have ever played. My lungs can finally rest because they done have to work for my rage quitting and annoyance because of lag in Black ops. I rate 10/10 all the way. The weapon customization is very satisfying because of the amount of attachments you can obtain. The challenges are fun. The character customization is revolutionary. The SMART system is perfect and I have had no mistakes with where I am moving and, last but not least, the story and it's plausibility. I am currently level 9 now on the 09:59, May 12, 2011 (UTC) and I can, for a second time, honestly say that this outplays CoD altogether. With Halo's team-based gameplay and CoD's "realism" crossed with parkour makes the best shooter o…

    The Good:

    • Movement felt fluid and realistic, I actually felt like I was doing those jumps and everything
    • Good Variety to the classes calls for some excellent teamwork
    • Excellent character appearance customization options
    • Excellent weapon customization options

    The Bad:

    • Limited assortment of weapons available
    • Challenges are way too easy on the first level, but become rediculously hard on the second
    • SMART feels too subtle, we only have to walk up to something to complete an action.
    • Linear Map design, it seriously limited the ability to use SMART, most of the areas where I can climb upon felt scripted as if the game designers funneled all SMART usage into a few areas.

The Ugly: Nothing to see here, but the IGN review is complete Bullsh*t. The guy sounds …

    New Wikia Feature: Chat

    April 16, 2011 by Ohmyn0

    Howdy Brink Wikians!

Today I'm happy to tell you that we've selected Brink to be one of the few selected wikis to receive a new Wikia feature: Chat. We've been working hard on this feature for a while now, and we want to see how it behaves in the wild.

Right now, the chat is still in the beta stage. There will be bugs and oddities, so we're glad to have your community as part of our team to help find them as we iron them out. We still have a bunch of exciting features in the pipeline.

I know you awesomely creative Wikians will come up with cool uses for Chat. :) So take a look, have some fun, and let us know what you think in the comments below. Thanks!

I shall be making a Clan when Brink comes out. This clan will be open to everyone. If there is a clan tag system in Brink the clan tag will be GL.

    1. no disrespect to other clan members.

    2. we will be commencing in private matches( which would be normal for shooters today) that demonstrate best classes for members. This will be an evaluation of skills not a training course for classes.

    3. we shall be focusing on leveling to 5 for the noobs.

    4. pre-order items will be allowed for the Clan character.

    5. Clan character will be based off of Clan polls( resistance and security)

If you are interested in joining then post your gamer tag (Xbox only) in the comment section or send me a message.

"This also means that you'll be able to plug your product key straight into Steam and download Brink no matter where you are in the world - no disc required. Of course, you'll also be getting any new game updates automatically upon signing into your account, and you'll have access to things like the Steam Community.

    Brink is coming sooner

    April 11, 2011 by Ausir

Bethesda has announced that the release date of Brink has been moved up one week. The game will be released in North America on May 10, 2011 - less than a month from now, and in Europe on May 13.

“Production wrapped on Brink earlier than we planned and we didn’t see any reason to keep gamers from getting their hands on this highly anticipated game as soon as it was ready,” said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing for Bethesda Softworks. “It’s apparent from the tremendous reaction so far that people are eager to jump online and play, and if we can make that happen earlier – we’re going to.”
