Nechayev is a high-ranking Resistance member and Chen's right hand. He is often referred to as "Chen's number two" by Security personnel.

Nechayev is the only trained pilot in the Resistance.^[1] Missions in the Security Tower focus on the Resistance's attempt to rescue him after his capture by Security; Nechayev serves as an escort objective in the final stages of these missions. Chen plans on having him fly a plane filled with a small band of Resistance troops off of the Ark, as part of an attempt to make contact with the outside world.

Appearances Edit

• Nechayev may have been one of the Resistance fighters in the first mission of the Security campaign, as he was reported as captured in the second level.
• If the Security are successful in defending Security Tower, Nechayev is never mentioned again in that campaign. Mokoena informs the player that they will find out why Nechayev is so important to Chen; however, it is Chen who confirms in the Resistance's failure ending that the Security have killed Nechayev.^[2]
• In the Resistance campaign, after successfully rescuing Nechayev from Security Tower, Chen sends his men to guard the datakey in the Terminal and defend the vaccine in Container City while Nechayev recovers from his stint with the Security's forces.
• The Resistance's final objective at the old airport runway sees the Resistance making last-minute preparations to the plane Nechayev is piloting in order for him to escape successfully off of the Ark.
